Many players approach the minor 251 as a mysterious mathematical entity in music. In the book you can see that using words to sing and play thru the minor 251 can be just as fun and easy as playing and singing thru the Major 251. After learning how to musically sing thru the major 251 the minor 251 becomes just as musical to the ear. I find that getting students to musically sing thru the theory of modes, chromatics, enclosures etc. helps to get the music in the ear and makes it more fun to play and less intimidating.
